Throughout 2026, much of the most important work at Lost Causes has been happening behind the scenes. We have been developing the Lost Boys program, building relationships with pastors and local leaders, strengthening our team in Uganda, and preparing the systems needed for lasting impact. Now, the foundation is taking shape. With your help, we can build on it and launch the first Lost Boys cohort in Eastern Uganda in 2027.
DEVELOPING OUR LOST BOYS CURRICULUM
The Lost Boys Project is designed to walk with young men through five critical years as they prepare for adulthood. During 2026, we have been developing and testing curriculum that helps young men understand their identity in Christ, recognize how God has uniquely created them, and grow into men who can lead healthy families and communities.By testing the material with high school students in the United States, we can strengthen each lesson before it is placed in the hands of mentors and students in Uganda.
BUILDING A PASTORS NETWORK
A strong program requires strong people on the ground. Throughout 2026, we have been identifying and building relationships with trusted pastors and church leaders across Eastern Uganda.These leaders will do far more than simply teach a class. They will be investing long term with the young men, encouraging their spiritual and personal growth, and becoming consistent voices in their lives. By investing in local leaders, Lost Boys can provide mentorship that is relational, culturally grounded, and built to last.
